Education photographer based in New York City
After working for years developing his eye for photographing people, Nick started his own practice in 2006. Today he works with many top colleges and Universities and shoots viewbooks and capital campaigns. His work also appears in publications such as the New York Times magazine, WSJ, Architectural Digest, Esquire and in numerous books. His specialty is in capturing the real moments and energy happening in front of him. Nick has a BFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and lives in Manhattan, New York with his wife and 2 sons.
“I love shooting for colleges. It is a really magical setting. When shooting in a classroom, I will often wait to shoot, listening to the lesson or discussion. Blending in (as much as possible) and then it will happen, the moment will present itself. A Real connection over the ingesting of an idea or an experience. That is what I try to capture, not from but outside but from the inside. There is something really special about getting to photograph that very inspiring and exciting time that takes place at colleges. My photographs have that energy, they are raw and real, because they are actually happening. “
